What happened this Wednesday?

Mamma Mia!

On this day in 1974 the 19th Eurovision Song Contest was won by ABBA for Sweden singing "Waterloo" in Brighton, England.

They went on to be one of the most popular and successful musical groups of all time, they became one of the best selling acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983, and in 2021.

After ABBA separated in December 1982 their music remained popular but in 1999 ABBA's music was adapted into Mamma Mia! a successful musical that toured worldwide and, as of November 2021, is still in the top-ten longest running productions in Broadway and in the West end.

This was then made into a movie in 2008 and became the highest grossing film in the UK that year.

Dancing Queen is my wife's favorite song and is now unofficially our first dance song at our wedding , I'm also now legally obliged (apparently) to dance to it with her whenever it comes on!

So thank you for the music ABBA in this week's sketch…..

(take a look around the site, maybe you will like something, Voulez- Vous perhaps? I have a dream of selling art and hope you say gimmie, gimmie, gimmie to our art.

It won't cost too much money, money, money. We will think you're a Super trouper and knowing me knowing you I’ll think you will take a chance on me…..)

*I apologize for the terrible puns, S0S.
