"LDN" - Urban Art Work V1

"LDN," is a fusion of tradition and modern, capturing the essence of London's diverse nature. The juxtaposition of the iconic Mary Poppins figure soaring above the contemporary skyline, with landmarks like the Shard and symbols of both historical and contemporary significance, creates a narrative of London's evolution over time.

The inclusion of elements such as the Royal Guard, red telephone boxes, Big Ben, as well as references to cultural touchstones like the Arsenal football and the Windrush and Suffragette movements, adds layers of resonance, inviting viewers to explore the city's multifaceted identity. It's a visually striking piece that celebrates the spirit and vibrancy of London in all its complexity.

Technique:

Mounted on 3mm aluminium di-bond , this artwork has been painted using a range of contemporary and traditional techniques including stenciling, spray cans, posca, acrylic paint and mixed media.
